REVERENCE: An Exclusive Unveiling of Layla Kaisi Collection’s Newest Edit

In early September, Layla Kaisi Collection unveiled what stands as its most defining body of work to date — REVERENCE.

Held within the private surrounds of our Auckland studio, this pre-launch offered a select circle of collectors, Northern Club members, and media the privilege of first encounter. With champagne in hand and amidst an atmosphere of quiet reverence, guests were invited into the inner sanctum of the house; a moment of unveiling before the edit assumes its place on the global stage during Paris Fashion Week.

For those present, the evening was not simply an introduction, but an initiation: an experience of jewellery as living architecture; objects that articulate time, identity, and legacy with sculptural precision.

The Concept of REVERENCE

Time does not pass — it folds.

REVERENCE is conceived as an exploration of time not as a measure, but as an architecture; a structure that defines us, holds us, and returns us to ourselves. Each creation interrogates the myth of forward motion, proposing instead that the future is not ahead, but already inscribed in our inheritance, our patterns, our choices.

Identity lies at the heart of this edit: the cyclical encounter of self through past versions, imagined futures, and contradictions that ultimately reveal coherence. It is a meditation on return, on repetition, on the cadence that underpins becoming.

Through this lens, jewellery is not ornamentation. It is a distilled form, reduced to its essence, where every curve, proportion, and diamond placement becomes an articulation of concept.

Six Sculptural Designs

Presented as a six-piece series, REVERENCE is a dialogue of precision and scale.

Each design is sculpted in 18ct white gold, set exclusively with white diamonds ranging from 1ct to 5ct. Their restrained palette sharpens the focus on silhouette and proportion, creating an architectural harmony where presence derives from form, not embellishment.

Individually, each piece stands as a statement; together, they compose a narrative; a cycle of coherence where identity is mirrored, repeated, and redefined.

A Private Unveiling in Auckland

The pre-launch of REVERENCE was staged with the intimacy befitting its vision. Guests entered the LKC studio and were drawn into an atmosphere deliberately attuned to reflection and encounter.

The pieces of REVERENCE were presented within an exquisitely curated floral tableau (@graceandflora.nz) where delicate poppies and roses evoked the interplay of fleeting and enduring beauty — a reflection on the cyclical nature of time and identity at the heart of the collection. A cascading waterfall of white blooms mirrored the continuity of self, the repetition and rhythm through which coherence emerges, inviting guests to contemplate the flow of past, present, and imagined futures as they engaged with each sculptural design. The evening was further enriched by a selection of Middle Eastern-inspired delicacies — baklawa, Turkish delights, and dates — a subtle homage to Director and Designer Layla's cultural heritage. In this way, every element of the event, from the floral arrangement to the culinary offerings, became part of a living narrative, echoing the precision, reflection, and intentionality embedded in each piece of the edit.

Here, the edit was revealed privately, away from the noise of trend and spectacle. The evening was punctuated with quiet moments of discovery, as guests engaged not only with REVERENCE but also with the signature works of the house. The presence of fine champagne and delicate canapés only heightened the sense of occasion: refined, deliberate, and resonant.

This unveiling was more than a preview; it was a declaration of intent. It positioned Layla Kaisi Collection as a fine jewellery house unafraid to challenge convention, to place art at the centre of its creations, and to move within the rarefied space where luxury intersects with cultural legacy.

Paris Awaits

Later this month, REVERENCE will make its debut appearance at Paris Fashion Week; a curated unveiling that marks a landmark moment for the house.

What began in the privacy of our New Zealand studio will unfold on the international stage, underscoring the global resonance of LKC’s vision: jewellery that transcends trend, positioning itself instead as a vessel for time, identity, and legacy.
