The Designer

Layla Kaisi believes design is language.

Each piece she creates is an idea made articulate, holding what a person has yet to find the words for. It is philosophy made visible.

Born in Baghdad, with early years in Kuala Lumpur and raised in Auckland, Layla carries an international point of view, fluent in more than one world and plural by nature. That same fluency runs through everything the house creates.

Her work is built on movement: fluid silhouettes, deliberate asymmetry, and structure caught mid-motion. Each piece is expressive and multidimensional, designed to look like how freedom feels.

Layla designs in the conviction that the right object, met at the right moment, can shift the way a person sees themselves, the world, and the space between what is visible and what is only felt.

Founded in 2017, Layla Kaisi Collection is the intersection of language, art, and identity. The house works across high jewellery, singular one-of-a-kind pieces, and bespoke commissions, built around rare and exceptional stones, from a private atelier in New Zealand. Its work has been worn privately and by international names such as Selena Gomez, Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera, and Cardi B, and covered by Forbes, JCK Magazine, and The Glass Magazine.
