Layla Kaisi Turning Heads with Middle East Elite
Bespoke Brilliance Reaching Global Status
New Zealand fine jewellery designer Layla Kaisi of Layla Kaisi Collection has designed a pair of custom design and crafted earrings for Radwa El Sherbiny. Miss Kaisi's talents are now featured on the Television stars Instagram sparking tremendous online engagement and launching LKC's international debut.
Layla reached this phenomenal achievement just months before the Layla Kaisi Collection Studio Launch showing this young designer's ambition and impressive success at a relatively young business age (just short of 5 years). It is also an impressive feat considering three of those years have been written off to COVID-19, and most have found it challenging to continue, let alone grow.
Radwa El Sherbiny Took to her Instagram this week to show her gratitude for Miss Kaisi and to showcase her diamond ear-jacket style earrings to her 14.1million followers. Radwa has captioned the post, "In love with the diamond spike earrings made by the amazing Iraqi women Layla Kaisi @laylakaisicollection"
The earrings are a striking yet unusual design, an example of the central ethos at LKC. Layla Kaisi herself describes the earrings as a "particular design (that) merely skims the surface of what is possible with LKC and how we intend to push the definition of fine jewellery."
The design, originally designed specifically for Mrs Sherbiny, is sold in retail under the name 'Identity' for $34,579.00. They are ear jacket style earrings, each featuring three parts - the diamond 'spike' jackets, two diamond studs and scroll earring back: all coming together to create perfection.
The diamond 'spike' jackets feature 12 pear-cut diamonds that were custom cut for Radwa to be sharper, more elongated and have optimum brilliance. These diamonds are bezel set in platinum in a fan-like layout. The diamond stud section has two pear-cut diamonds held in a trio-claw setting in platinum, and the scroll earring backs are also platinum. The total diamond carat weight is 3.22ct; the diamonds are all high quality with D-G colour and VS2 + clarity.
Layla Kaisi was able to thrive in a period when most businesses were looking at a bleak future. Not only did she survive, but she continued to grow, reach new goals and collect new customers. Layla's business model and work philosophy were able to flourish during covid as her niche was still in demand and even needed more so in a time when people craved reason to celebrate.
Her business success is driven by her passion for distinctive design and connection, viewing fine jewellery as not just a material but a medium for storytelling. LKC bespoke means having jewellery designed with the wearer at the centre of everything, it's not solely about the design but the larger picture and story attached.
Layla designs bespoke pieces centred around personalisation and capturing individual narratives, as well as challenging the traditional designs of the fine jewellery industry through playful experimentation.
Being a designer, founder and creative executive all in one, Layla's impressive skillset enabled her to keep capturing moments of happiness in a time when people could use a reason to smile. Even though covid halted most businesses, people were still living their life, falling in love and needing someone to tell this story or create a piece that essentially is a physical manifestation of their narrative, portraying it in designs they had never seen before.
Layla explains, "we have had quite a bit of time with covid, forced time. I took that opportunity to forge connections internationally and challenged myself to design for these individuals; it's an honour to tell their story, celebrate lives that are no longer lost in a pandemic, and come out the other side with moments like these to show for it".
